Description
Paxity for WooCommerce adds Paxity as a payment method to your store. At checkout, the customer is redirected to the secure Paxity hosted payment page, where they pay with Wave, Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money or a bank card.
The payment result is confirmed server-to-server by a signed webhook, so the order status in WooCommerce is updated even if the customer closes their browser before returning to your store.
Features
- Hosted checkout: no card or wallet data ever touches your server.
- Supports the WooCommerce block-based checkout and the classic (shortcode) checkout.
- Orders are marked as paid automatically from signed Paxity webhooks (HMAC-SHA256, replay-protected).
- Failed and expired payments are reflected on the order; customers can retry payment on the same order.
- Test mode with separate test API keys.
- Compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
- Zero-decimal currencies (XOF, XAF) handled natively.
A Paxity merchant account is required. Create one at paxity.io.
External services
This plugin connects to the Paxity payment API, operated by Paxity, to process payments. It cannot work without it.
What is sent and when: when a customer places an order and chooses Paxity, the plugin sends a request to the Paxity API (https://api-v2.paxity.io by default) to create a payment session. The request contains the order amount and currency, a description with the order number, the customer’s billing email address and phone number, and the store URLs the customer is sent back to after payment. Your Paxity API key is sent in the request header for authentication. No data is sent until the customer submits an order with Paxity as the payment method.
The customer is then redirected to the Paxity hosted payment page, where they enter their payment details directly with Paxity.
What is received: Paxity sends payment status notifications (webhooks) to your store at /wp-json/paxity/v1/webhook. They contain the payment session identifier, its status and the Paxity transaction identifier.

FAQ
-
Do I need a Paxity account?
-
Yes. You need a Paxity merchant account and an API key to accept payments.
-
Why is my order still “Pending payment” after a successful payment?
-
The order is confirmed by the Paxity webhook. Check that the webhook endpoint is registered in your Paxity dashboard with the URL shown in the plugin settings, that the webhook secret matches, and that your site is reachable from the internet over HTTPS (a local site or a password-protected staging site cannot receive webhooks).
-
Can the customer retry a failed payment?
-
Yes. Each new attempt creates a new Paxity payment session for the same order.
-
Which currencies are supported?
-
The currencies supported by your Paxity account. XOF and XAF are handled as zero-decimal currencies.
